frequently asked questions

Here are some questions we get on a regular basis.

Q: What denomination are you?
A: The Mission does not belong to a denomination. We are in relationship with a growing network of ministries called Global Legacy. We are connected with Bethel Church in Redding, Calif., and Family Christian Center in Orangevale, Calif., among others.

Q:   Are you some sort of cult?
A: No. We just love God a lot, and have discovered that a relationship with him can open doors to life beyond the mundane. Jesus said to expect tangible results from our faith – so we do, whether that looks like answered prayers for healing and miracles, financial victories or breakthrough in relationships. This is life as we believe we're called to live it.

Q: Is this Graham Cooke's church?
A: Yes, he is part of our leadership team. When he is in town he and his wife, Theresa, worship with us and participate in our community life.

Q: How can I find out who is speaking on Sunday?
A: Feel free to give our office a call between the hours of 10am and 3pm, PST - we'll let you know who's speaking and what's happening this week. Our phone number is 707.448.3124, and for any-time access, you can email themission@tmvv.org.

Q: What's up with the banners and arches in your auditorium?
A: Each of the four banners hanging on our walls represents a specific encounter we believe God is making available. The banner of the wave and wheat is a picture of Heaven's power over us, and represents a harvest of lost and broken people. The waterfall picture represents refreshing, restoration, renewal and healing. The picture of the steps represents our permission to come up higher, into a deeper level of relationship with God. The vineyard banner represents favor, fullness and abundance. The arches on either side of our stage represent gateways to your encounter. At the Holy Spirit's nudge, we encourage you to walk through the arches, thanking him for the extravagant breakthrough he is providing. We have committed to not keep asking for what He's already making available to us, but to thank him and make declarations instead, and we invite you to do the same. Click to read our community's declarations over each banner.

Q: I'm coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
A: There are a number of great hotels in Vacaville. We have a negotiated rate with Comfort Suites, a particularly wonderful place just minutes away from us. A full breakfast is included in the deal! Call 707.446.3000 and let them know you're with The Mission, and they will set you up.

Q: Can I use my credit or debit card here?
A: Yes, we're set up to efficiently process all major credit cards, so you can give, tithe, pay school tuition or buy lattés with your plastic. It's our strongly-held value, though, that charitable giving be charged only to cards that are paid off every month.
