Activate:   Songwriters,   Artists   and   Authors   is   a   free   weekend   event   with   award-winning trainers in the arts. Unlock your creativity regardless of whether you are a first-time explorer or an intermediate to advanced artist. Hands-on, interactive workshops and activation sessions will stir the creative nature in you and increase your skill sets for pursuing your own innovative ideas.

Friday night Worship Encounter is a general session for all areas of creativity. Saturday morning you will choose one workshop track - songwriting, art or writing.

Track Descriptions:

Author's Workshop with Bill Myers Bill is an author and director whosework has won over 60 national and international awards including the C.S. Lewis Honor Award. His books and videos have sold over 8 million copies and include McGee and Me, The Incredible Worlds of Wally McDoogle, Eli, The Face of God, andSupernatural War. He was writer/director/actor in Focus onthe Family's Adventures in Odyssey and his film company is currently raising funds for a motion picture based on his children's book, My Life as a Smashed Burrito with Extra Hot Sauce. He's a pretty cool dad, not a bad husband andtreasures every second he can spend in God's presence. Artist's Workshop   with   Lyn Lasneski   Lyn   is   convinced   that   everyone   is   artistic.

She has been called the consummate artist who paints and teaches and imbues the energy of all her experience on the canvas. Lyn's career is draped with accolades from "Best of Show" to "People's Choice", "Private Collections" and awards in the prestigious National Oil Painters of America Show. With a degree in Aviation Science and 10 years experience as a bush pilot, this Certified Flight Instructor is familiar with left-minded verbal/mathematical skills as well as right minded visual/intuitive skills. Teaching and freeing people into their God-ordained and life-transforming creativity and artistic skills is her life message.

She has taught art and creativity workshops for 20 years, drawing students from all over the world. She enables students of all levels, including very beginners, to succeed far beyond their expectations. Songwriter's Workshop with Dan McCollam Dan believes that everyonecan and should write a worship song. He should know; he's trained thousands of people world-wide to write and record authentic, ethnic expressions of worship. Dan traveled as a professional musician for seven years, partnering and producing with award-winning writers, then settled in to his greater passion as a worship leader and trainer. Dan has written several books and produced courses on worship songwriting and is part of the faculty at Bethel's School of Supernatural Worship in Redding, California.
